Charity for Student Homelessness

Parcel University cares deeply about the health and welfare of all college students.  Sadly, there are currently over 58,000 homeless college and university students across the United States, according to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) used by the U.S. Department of Education.  With a lack of permanent affordable housing and rising tuition costs nationwide, these students have no place to live after paying for tuition and books.  They sleep in campus libraries, in their cars, or in storage units.  They “couch surf”, stay at off-campus homeless shelters and sometimes have no other choice but to drop out of school due to their housing burdens.  These students are our children, or our children’s peers, friends and acquaintances. They are attending college because they know the value that a quality education brings and they have a dream to build a better life for themselves and to make a difference in the world.

Please help us enable our next generation of students become successful by making a donation during checkout to help end student homelessness.  Your generous donation will go directly and entirely to a university student food pantry, which thousands of students rely upon daily for meals.

Currently, Parcel University has selected UCLA’s Community Programs Office Food Closet as the recipient of donations received through its website.  Parcel University also directly donates a portion of profits from online sales to UCLA’s CPO Food Closet.  Additionally, Parcel University covers the processing fee cost of your online credit card donation transaction made during checkout, so that your generous gift is not reduced by credit card processing fees.
